Tiffany Paige Offers Free Download - Breakin Boundaries

Check out Tiffany Paige's debut offering Breakin Boundaries in the form of a Mix CD with the help of International (DJ/Tastemaker) DJ Pay out of Amsterdam. Breakin Boundaries gives you a taste of what to expect in upcoming releases as Tiff Paige is setting herself up to be a powerful representation of Hip Hop Soul's future.

Paige is quickly filling a void in the world of Independent Hip Hop and Soul Music by becoming that melodic voice which graces the ears of the underground and even has the most stubborn of back packers humming to her tunes. Encapsulating the soul of an era past while fused with the grit of Hip Hop today, it's been years since an album commands the listener's undivided attention as does Breakin Boundaries. Possessing a positive vibe with a sultry mentality, Tiffany bridges the generation gap of musical taste, winning the approval of the streets and the hearts of hopeless romantics on one sonic canvas.

The Breakin Boundaries release covers the entire spectrum from the jeep beat bump of "A Day in Cali" Produced by and featuring K Hill all the way to the laid back composition of "If u only knew" Produced by Detroit Native Zo! The track list boasts a wholesome line up of both mainstays along with the up and coming of the Hip Hop world.

Having worked with the likes of Talib Kweli, MF DOOM, Madlib, Scienz of Life, Shabaam Sahdeeq, John Robinson, Zo, K Hill and many more, she is steadily climbing the ladder of success within the best of both worlds. Outside of her extensive network within the Hip Hop community, another quality that puts Tiffany in her own lane is her work ethic and her ability to record and mix her own vocals too. Don't sleep on this upcoming soulstress as she powers her way to the top leaving very little room for nonbelievers.

Also Look out for Tiffany Paige's Collaborative release with ZO! Entitled Dream Walk and a Full length album on Shaman Work Recordings coming soon.

President Of Shaman Work Recordings, John Robinson Aka Lil’ Sci, Takes Part In Hour Long Special On The State Of Hiphop In The Media Today

John Robinson aka Lil’ Sci, President of Shaman Work Recordings recently took part in an interview conducted by Dex Digital on MixtapeShow.net with various hip hop and community leaders after the allegations and angry fingers have been pointed at the hip hop culture following Don Imus’ remarks. Breaking the status quo of MixtapeShow.net’s standard format, the episode was developed into an hour long special on the state of hip hop in the media today.

Topics discussed cover everything from the Imus-inspired backlash on Hip-hop to sexism/racism in the media to the Stop Snitching 'movement" to the small number of people that actually dictate what videos get played on BET and subsequently MTV. In relation to the Stop Snitching 'movement,' Another aspect covered during the special was the 60 Minutes interview between Anderson Cooper and Dipset’s Cam’ron which many believe to have driven further accusatory allegations against the hip hop community

Other members of the panel included Aishah Simmons an An African-American feminist and activist documentary filmmaker, Willie D a solo artist and core member of the Geto Boys, Davey D a hip hop historian, journalist, deejay, and community activist, and David K Far-El the former producer for BET's Rap City and the creator of Spring Bling.

How Can Hip-Hop Be Dead if Wu-Tang is Forever?

London, England - Bodog Music is proud to announce the European signing of legendary hip-hop crew Wu-Tang Clan. Bodog Music will release The 8 Diagrams, Wu-Tang's first studio album in 6 years, in Germany on September 7, with a separate release in the UK and the rest of Europe on September 10.

The album contains new tracks by the eight remaining original members, as well as unreleased vocals by the late Ol' Dirty Bastard, which were recorded during sessions for the group's first album. There will also be a tribute song to ODB called "Life Changes."

"This is really what Bodog Music is all about: Hip-hop at its highest," says Bodog founder Calvin Ayre, who along with Wu-Tang's international representative Eva Ries, has closed a deal that will advertise the Wu-Tang brand and turn Bodog Music into an ambitious hip-hop label. "With the Wu-Tang Clan being the widely respected and revered group that they are, and Bodog's international music distribution expertise, the potential of this relationship in unlimited. Wu-Tang Clan still ain't nothing to f#@k with."

Ayre's sentiments are echoed by Wu-Tang producer RZA who says, "The RZA himself has called upon his Wu-Tang brothers to reunite and show the real unity and raw force of hip-hop. How can hip-hop be dead if Wu-Tang is Forever?"

Bodog Music's marketing competence will be a big lift to Wu-Tang in Europe, as the record label signed the group exclusively for European releases, with distribution via Pinnacle in the UK and EDEL for the rest of the continent.

After a two year hiatus, the hip-hop collective will be touring Europe this summer, including two UK shows at the Hammersmith Apollo on July 5 and the Manchester Apollo on July 6. Appearing live will be original Wu-Tang members, Ghostface Killah, RZA, GZA, Raekwon, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, U-God and Cappadona. This summer the crew hits the road in the U.S. with Rage Against The Machine and Public Enemy.

Debuting in 1993, the Staten Island, NY-based Wu-Tang Clan is one of the most revolutionary hip-hop acts of all time. Throwing out the pre-established formulas for breaking a rap group, Wu-Tang methodically released each album while cultivating the solo careers of all nine MCs.

After its breakthrough album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), the Clan reconvened in 1997 for the much-anticipated double-album Wu-Tang Forever, which simultaneously shot straight to #1 in the US and UK charts. In 2000, the group released The W, which included the hit single Gravel Pit and most recently, Iron Flag in 2001.

VERSION
Mark Ronson
Allido/RCA
June 12th, 2007

"Mark Ronson is the man of the moment. Version is a blast, the sound of someone enjoying their success and throwing a party for all corners" - Q Magazine

It's hard to imagine how Producer, DJ, Artist, and Allido label boss Mark Ronson found the time to bring this album to fruition. Somehow, in the midst of producing some of the most defining sounds of 2006 and 2007 (Lily Allen's debut? Check. Sessions with Christina Aguilera? Check. Amy Winehouse's stunning album with its hit song "Rehab"? Check.), Ronson was able to conceive, curate, create, record and compile Version - an album nothing short of perfect. Taking its impetus from a Radiohead cover ("Just") he redefined in 2005 withPhantom Planet's Alex Greenwald, a Stax-spirited version was picked up by club and radio Djs in the US and Britain almost by accident. Ronson was clearly bitten by the covers bug. Inspired by the masterwork albums of the 60's by Quincy Jones and Herb Alpert embodying their musical favorites of their times as they heard them, Mark took to the studio with an army of friends and guest stars (although, he says, "the real guest stars are the songs themselves") to re-explore some of his favorite modern classics.

Using his same Midas touch that turned Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen into pop gold, Ronson set about recording his album of covers which not only showcases his love of hip hop beats and British alternative rock, but also the soul, funk, psychedelia, pop and disco that his record collection spans. The result re-writes the rulebook on cover versions. The Smiths' "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before" is reworked as a lush, soulful orchestral R&B track; Ryan Adam's heartbreaking acoustic love song "Amy" is beautifully reinvented as Sgt. Pepper-era psychedelia; Coldplay's "God Put A Smile On Your Face" manifests itself as New Orleans' funk courtesy of The Dapking Horns, while Britney Spears'"Toxic" is completely transformed by the soulful crooning of Tiggas."Pretty Green" is a glorious reworking of The Jam's classic tune, with vocals by up-and-coming dancehall singer Santo Gold, and it's already on heavy rotation across the club circuit.

His two most recent family members and success stories also make crucial appearances, guesting on Kaiser Chief's "Oh My God" (Lily Allen) and The Zutons "Valerie" (Amy Winehouse), both songs so ubiquitous in the UK that it took fairly large cojones to revisit them so soon after their own chart success. The fact that it works says much for Ronson's artistic vision.Version is quite easily the most fun you're likely to have this summer. What will he think of next?
